Once upon a time, in the magical world of cat breeding, a visionary cat enchantress named Jean Mill had a spectacular dream - to create a cat that looked like a wild leopard but had the heart of a gentle house kitty! In her wonderful laboratory of love during the 1960s, she brought together a wild Asian leopard cat and a domestic house cat, and through this enchanted union, the Bengal cat was born! Like tiny leopards sprung from a fairy tale, these magnificent felines (named after their wild cousin Prionailurus bengalensis) combine the spots of their wilderness-dwelling ancestors with the playful spirit of their domestic relatives. Since their official recognition in 1983, these enchanting creatures have been casting their spell on families everywhere, bringing a sprinkle of wild magic to living rooms across the world!
Deep in the world of Bengal cats, there's more magic to discover than just the famous brown spotted beauty that everyone knows and loves! Like a box of nature's finest jewels, these wonderful cats come in six delightful colors (and yes I consider them coolers, altho officially the breed standard says some colors are patterns, but who needs that confuzzlingness here?)
classic brown, snowy white, shimmering silver, mysterious charcoal, dreamy blue, and midnight melanchistic (black to you and me). Each comes with their very own perfect matching eye color, like nature's finest accessory!
These mini-leopards don't just come in spots either - some wear swirling marble patterns as if they've tumbled through an artist's paintbox! Add in their signature sparkly glitter coat (yes, real glitter!), their silky-soft fur, and the fact that they're friendly to sneezy humans, and it's no wonder Bengal lovers find themselves wanting to collect the whole rainbow of these purr-fect treasures!
Meet the Bengal cat - a delightful mix of wild beauty and pure cuddle-bug! While their wild ancestors might have prowled the jungle, these modern-day mini-leopards are all about being part of your family fun. Think of them as cats who've read the dog handbook - they love playing with kids, making friends with other pets, and being right in the middle of every family adventure!
Just don't make the mistake of thinking these clever kitties will be content watching life from the sidelines! Your Bengal will want to be your sous-chef, your workout buddy, and your personal conversation partner (they have opinions about everything!). Give them plenty of climbing trees and water features, or they'll redesign your home for you - speaking of which, always check the fridge before pouring your morning coffee, or you might find a curious Bengal kitten trying to reorganize your yogurt collection! But for all their mischief, these chatty, affectionate companions will reward you with endless entertainment, sofa snuggles, and more love than you can imagine. Trust us, life with a Bengal is never boring, but it's always wonderful!
Whilst we absolutely do not have favorites, if we did Mistletoe would be mummy's little darling. She's a right little Missy with a lot of love to give, but she knows how to make you work for it.

Missy is no longer a show cat - she did one show, won best bengal kitten, and said "we won't be having anymore of that nonsense." And like her obedient little courtiers we agreed.
Mistletoe is our current queen and she will be delivering us Jokers' little kittens any day now. So she is currently being pampered like the Queen she is

And again, we don't have favorites, but if we did this would be Boleyn's perfect little princess.
Snow (Tiger) Lily was bred by Catamount Bengals and we were so lucky to be able to bring her down to NSW to replace Missy in the show ring. She took to it like she was raised for the public service of showcasing the breed.

Where Missy is sassy, Lily is affectionate, cuddly and fiercely protective of Mummy-to-be-Mistletoe.
Snow Lily is also a future queen, and we are hoping to give her her own little feline family to love soon

Jokers' true love is without a doubt Snow Lily and they can often be found making moon eyes at each other through the window that separates them. But he has also been generous enough to make Missy a mum-to-be and we look forward to welcoming their first litter of kittens any day now

Cobra Lily is a very special 6 month old kitten. During the time of writing this web page, she's deleted three sections and tipped my water over the keyboard. And thats just an average hour in the life of Cobra.
Like Snow Lily, Cobra was bred by Catamount Bengals in Queensland and we are thrilled beyond belief at the almost snow base coat and authentic asian leopard cat spots. She's done her first show and we were delighted when the judges agreed with our delight and awarded her best bengal and third best kitten overall in show.

Rose is the boss.
Boss of the cats, boss of the dogs, boss of the humans and if we would let her out of the house, I'm sure she would be boss of the alpacas in no time.
Again, there are no favorites in this house... but it's interesting Graeme complains about the cats all day long and yet Rose is an ongoing fixture on his desk.

Rose joined Fairytail Forest before we started showing cats and by the time we decided to enter the ring she had already eaten her way into a generously healthy physique and we are not brave enough to stand between her and - well anyones - dinner. So we put Rose to work bossing the pups around
